Pumpkin Picking

Halloween is just about here and mommy and daddy hadn't taken me pumpkin picking, so this morning, I happened to mention that I would like to pick a pumpkin or two... Well, half an hour later, we were in the family truckster headed to our favorite apple farm to pick some pumpkins. Needless to say, the picking was sparse, but we were able to find a few "good" ones. I got to pick out a big pumpkin and I picked out a little pumpkin for Remi. After pumpkin picking, daddy and I shared a donut.

Mommy bought Remi and I pumpkins b/c she didn't know if we were able to go picking. This is me painting my pumpkin and myself!

Sneaking an apple...

We were walking the fields and some random person offered to take our picture. Gotta love midwest nice

Being Silly

You can just tell by this picture that Remi and I are going to get in a LOT of trouble together when we're older.

"How much longer do I need to smile for daddy to give ME a donut..."

SeaWorld and Joe's Crabshack

On Monday, our last real day in CA, Grandma took us to SeaWorld and it was AWESOME. I got to touch and feed dolphins and black rays, pick up starfish, see sharks and penguins and even polar bears. That night we headed to Joe's Crabshack for dinner, where I polished off an adult portion of crab and hung out with Jayden for one last time. Remi was her usual charming self, happy go-lucky, but let me tell you, don't step in front of that girl when she's going for a french fry, she'll scream at you! Despite what she thinks, she's only 9 months old and can't eat fries yet, but it was fun to taunt her with them...

Remi at SeaWorld. Just hangin' out as usual

Daddy was holding me up over the edge so I could see and pet the dolphins

That's right folks, that's me and that's a dolphin right next to me!

Did I mention I GOT TO FEED DOLPHINS

Dolphins feel VERY smooth and soft

What a neat experience

I even let daddy have a turn petting the dolphin

"Mommy, why can't we have one of these at home?"

Notice the do not cross rope BEHIND me...

Touching a black ray

Those things are hungry, when I put the food in the water, I was the most popular boy there!

"That's a funny feeling!"

Grandma was scared to feed them, so I had to help her

Picking up my first ever starfish

Do you see me holding the bright red starfish. I thought they were lonely, so I would pick them up and move them closer to each other so they had friends.

Touching a sea urchin.. Prickly!

Checking out the sea turtles

Whenever Remi would see Grandpa she would start to cry, except on the last day on the way to the airport.

Now Grandpa has 3 grandchildren who want to ride on his shoulders!

Meeting the cousins...

On Sunday, we had a brunch and I got to meet my 2nd cousins. The last time we had seen them was at Lauren and Jeremy's wedding and I was still in mommy's tummy (I came out 1 week later). So, needless to say, mommy and daddy were very excited to see the long lost relatives from LA.

Jayden's 2nd Birthday

My cousin Jayden turned two on Saturday, the 17th, so we all headed to the beach to celebrate. The day was a overcast, but the beach was beautiful. We all hung out at the beach, played in the sand and water and Remi got to meet her Uncle Andrew and Uncle Jamie for the very first time. After a morning on the beach, we headed over to a beach restaurant, I ate the biggest hot dog known to man kind and ran around with Jayden, oh and we watched after grandpa as well (he has a tendency to wander off when unsupervised...). That night we went back to aunt Lauren and Uncle Jeremy's house for ribs. I'm not a rib man myself, but by the way all of the adults were carrying on about the ribs and licking their fingers, I almost gave in and tried one... Remi and I gave Jayden our present. It was a handmade train set and lucky for me, Jayden was nice enough to share...
