Day 7 Up North: Visiting a Cherry Farm

On our last morning up North, while Remi was napping and Mommy was packing, Daddy and I paid a visit to a local fruit orchard. We had fun sampling the jams, eating freshly fried cherry donuts (of course, we chose the ones with cherry glaze), and running around outside with the animals and locals. It was a nice way to end a phenomenal trip (except for the five hour car ride home!).

I love you enough...

...to use father's day as an excuse to REALLY play with paint. Love you daddy!

Happy Father's Day

We love you daddy!

Day Six: Adventures on the Sailboat "Sunshine"

We got lucky again, picking the sunniest and warmest day (upper 70's) to go for a family sail! Neither Remi nor I had ever been on a sailboat before so were were both quiet excited. Captain Amanda and First Mate Heather treated us to two hours on Lake Charlevoix, Round Lake and Lake Michigan aboard the Sunshine. We ate lunch, snack and drank water while viewing the fabulous homes and sites along the shore. I got to wave to lots of people on other boats, see the bridge go up and down twice -- for us! -- help raise the mainsail with Daddy and drive for a while. There was one point when nobody else was paying attention and somehow I turn the boat directly into the wind (while sailing) -- evidently I turned so drastically that the Autopilot was automatically disabled and I was actually driving...ooops! We had an awesome time on an awesome boat! Mommy and I also played in the park fountain before and after we went...
