Taking Minnesota by storm...

Remi and I decided to head to Minnesota for a few days last week and since we can't legally fly alone and mommy hid the car keys from me, we had to bring mommy with us. I had a great time hanging out with grandma and I totally bonded with grandpa this time. I was a little rough on mama, as I was up A LOT at night, but she handled it like a trooper and the bags under her eyes are slowly starting to fade... We went to parks, bounce houses, indoor play spaces, played in the backyard and invented a little game I like to call "block toss." Lots of fun. I even got to see my great grandpa's and Remi met them for the first time. We're such lucky kids to have 3 great grandparents alive, very cool. I hung out with uncle Brandon, but to be honest with you, I prefer aunt Annie. I gave Brandon the cold shoulder, but as soon as Anne walked in the house, I had no problem talking to her. We also had an early Thanksgiving dinner. The last time mama's family has been together for Thanksgiving was 1994! Below are just a few of MANY photo's that we took on our trip. Oh yeah, one more very exciting piece of news. Remi and I are going to be in Brandon's wedding, that's right, the Reminator and I are going to be the flower girl and ring bearer, respectively. Needless to say, I now have Remi on an aggressive training schedule to teach her how to walk, b/c I am not pulling her down the isle in a wagon, no way!

To really get to know a dog, you have to get down on their level...

Ok, maybe Ed just liked me b/c I stuffed her full of dog food

Everybody has to pull their own weight in the Abel household. I was put to work pulling apart bread for the thanksgiving stuffing.

Anne's mom, Joan, came down for the early Thanksgiving dinner. She's a smart woman, she came with gifts! Remi digging through the bag to see what other cute clothing Joan bought her. Thanks again Joan, we love our gifts!

November Fun

Michigan in the fall time is beautiful. Crisp days, cold nights and lots of leaves to play with! And play we did! Below are just a few of the 400 pictures we took.

After a week of fighting off a nasty virus, it was so nice to see him smile!

Halloween Week

This past week has been a busy week in the Goldstein household. Remi and I just got back to a normal sleeping schedule on Friday (it took us awhile to recover from our CA trip) and sure enough daylight savings is on Saturday, so we get to mess with mommy and daddy some more when it comes to sleep. Personally, I was quite thrilled to be able to stay up an hour later on the big night. Halloween is a big deal in our neighborhood, with many neighbors decorating their houses, shipping in GIANT pumpkins and half of the city driving in to trick or treat. Needless to say, the streets are full, but fun was had by all. This year was a bit cooler than years past, but the 40 degree weather didn't stop either of us from honing our trick or treating skills. This year was the year that halloween really "clicked" for me, going up to random houses and getting candy, just for showing up, now that's my kind of holiday. But to make Halloween really special this year, I actually got to go to a birthday party during the day, jump in a bunch of bounce houses and eat ice cream cake, not a bad prelude to a night of sugar driven hyperactivity. Enjoy your pictures from the week.

Howdy!

My pumpkin. I originally wanted a sad face and then after it was carved I didn't like how sad the pumpkin looked, so daddy had to do a little bit of carving work. This is the final result...
