January 13, 2010... My actual birthday

Ok, so I've heard that the older you get, the less exciting birthdays become, at least that's what mommy and daddy say when it's their birthdays... So here's my question: If my 1st birthday, on the actual day, goes basically unnoticed, what does that say for my future birthdays? Tyler had been up the entire night before my birthday, sick as a dog. I tell you, that kid will do ANYTHING for attention! Then Wednesday rolls around, the big day, the day I turn one and what happens? Mommy is sick, not just kind of sick, violently sick, so sick, she actually let us watch TV, while she laid on the couch moaning. So, that is the story of my very first birthday. I didn't even get cake! Mommy and daddy threw a candle in a mini pizza and sang me happy birthday. Yes, I got blueberries, my favorite, and Tyler would NOT stop singing happy birthday to me, but honestly people, where was the whoopla? The cake? The complete attention on me on my special day? The one shining light is that my uncle Brandon surprised me by showing up at our house on my actual birthday. God love that man, at least he knows how to treat a special birthday girl!

ok, so not my best side, but it's one of the few pics of me on my birthday

That's me, the proud 1 year old. I actually tried to feed myself using a fork that day, I may be one, but I'm no utensil genius!

Eating my FAVORITE thing, blueberries!

Daddy, preparing my birthday candle in a mini pizza...

Ellie, our neighbor, knitted me a pink lamb for my birthday. Tyler and I adore our neighbors, Georgie and Ellie!
