The last of 2009

The last week of 2009 has been a busy one for the Goldstein family. I have been out of school for December break and Remi, well, everyday is a vacation for her! We kept the family tradition alive by having Chinese food on Christmas Eve and then on Christmas day I got to go to my first ever MOVIE! Remi got to come to b/c of course, daddy got called into work... I won't venture onto that topic right now, as it's a sore subject for all of us. We went to watch the Music Man and we both had so much fun!

Apparently Grandma Jo and Grandpa David haven't realized that Hanukkah is only eight nights b/c I keep getting gifts from them! They sent so many gifts for Hanukkah that mama has had to ration them. Not really sure why mama is meddling in our private affairs, regarding gifts. After all isn't that between Grandma and Grandpa and Me? BUT, I'm certainly not going to complain, so Grandma and Grandpa, if you are reading this and find mama to be too intrusive with the gift giving process, Remi and I will gladly set up a PO box and mama will be none the wiser. That's right, our little secret! Speaking of gifts, Remi and I would like to thank Grandma Jo/Grandpa David, Grandma Sue/Grandpa IG, Cousin Jayden, and Uncle Brandon/Aunt Annie for holiday gifts this year. We appreciate them, even if mama gets in the way of us getting them all on time!

As the NHL Winter Classic is being played in my beloved Fenway park, I thought it would be prudent to post some new pictures of me skating. That's right, skating, by myself! Bobby Orr watchout, TSG has his skates laced up and will soon be scoring goals himself! Remi, of course, didn't get on the ice, but did sit on the sidelines and cheer me on, it's nice to have a faithful fan.

While we have no pictures of this... Hmmm, mama and daddy... We did go to a New Years Eve party last night. We celebrated the New Year at 7pm (Midnight London Time) with 25 kids and their families. We had champagne toasts, noise makers, hats and off course mayhem. My parents didn't really see me much of the party as I was socializing with my friends and basically trying to avoid them at all costs.

To start of 2010 right, my friends Fred and Jack invited us down for their traditional rocket launching. It was so much fun and they even let me launch one. We then spent a bit of time playing in the neighborhood igloo and trying to eat as much snow as possible.

I hope everyone had a safe New Years Eve and that the year 2010 brings even better and brighter things to each and everyone of you.

What, more gifts to open?

Look what I made! Lincoln logs are so much fun!

Oh, and the tin it comes in can be used for fun as well.

On Christmas Eve, Sam and his parents came over for Chinese. After food, we decided to play a bit of dress up.

You can just call me Chief Tyler

Even Remi got in the action

Dress up in my band costume for the Music Man movie. I had so much fun!

Remi loves her new dollie

And a big kiss for you!

Hangin' with daddy in front of the fire.

Sippin' hot cocao

Story time with daddy

Making Irish lamb stew with daddy

Peeling the potatoes for the stew

The finished product. Our hard work was yummy!

Playing hockey in the backyard

Putting the herring on to smoke

The plate of herring was nearly empty once daddy and I were done with it. Even Remi like the salty family tradition.

My herring bagel sandwich, YUM

Oh yeah, skating on my own!

Skating is serious business...

...and very hard work, I had to take a breather

Remi, my number 1 fan

New Years Eve Bowling, before the turned down the lights and turn on the disco ball, which I must say, is a bit distracting...

Remi at the bowling alley

New Years Day, brought another day of work for daddy and I was feeling kind of down about him having to go into work. So mommy and I made cookies, and I got to lick the beater for the first time. Maybe daddy should work on more holidays...

The neighborhood igloo

Remi, hangin' out at the igloo

Just what is inside there?

Fine, I'll look for myself!

The crew, getting ready to launch the rocket

Jim, the mastermind of it all!

Remi fell face first in the snow, but she was a trooper
