Snow Day

Another 10+ inches of snow fell the other night and I woke up to a winter wonderland. The trees were all frosted thick white snow and there was the still and calm that only a big snowfall can bring. Well, I decided I'd had enough of that calm, so we headed outside to make some noise and shovel the driveway. Remi was none to happy to be bundled up in her snowsuit and did her best to disrupt the peace and quiet of our sleepy neighborhood. She screamed and screamed and screamed some more, so much so that one neighbor actually came outside to check on us... Well, mommy was working at a furious rate to get the driveway shoveled and I wasn't feeling all that much like helping, so I went to the backyard and found my hockey stick and a puck and played a bit of hockey while mommy shoveled and Remi screamed. Once the driveway was cleaned up, sort of, we headed back inside. Ellie, one of our neighbors came over to play and while we were playing "ice" hockey with ice cubes, mommy was making a fire in the fireplace and surprised us with marshmallows! We got to roast marshmallows in our fireplace and then eat them on graham crackers! Remi even got to have a graham cracker, she's not quite ready for the marshmallow yet...

This is pretty much what Remi was like the entire time

Roasting marshmallows with Ellie

Patiently waiting my turn

Me, in action. Turns out I don't like the heat all that much

Enjoying the fruits of our labors

Look who is trying to sit in a chair!
