Daddy time, passover and just day to day life...

Well, this post includes a mish mash of everything. While mommy was away, daddy, Remi and I went to an Indian baby naming ceremony for my friend Leela's baby brother, Jay. The ceremony was nice, but playing with Leela afterwards was definitely the highlight for me.

On to passover, once again we were able to celebrate Passover with our AWESOME Ann Arbor family. Friends drove from near and far (3 hours) just to attend the Goldstein seder. The total headcount by the end was 22 people. Daddy and I did lots of work while mommy was away to prepare for the seder and then the Monday of Seder was a wee bit crazy at our house, or shall I say, mommy was a wee bit crazy, trying to get the house ready and cook for 22 people. BUT, by 5:30, everything was done, the table was set and we were ready! During the seder I stood next to daddy and belted out the 4 questions in Hebrew, my preschool teacher was so proud when I told her what I had done. We ate lots of matzoh ball soup, made a seder parade, I found the affikomen and of course, the grown-ups drank too much wine... We used the matzoh cover I made at school, the bitter herbs that I grew from scratch and Elijah's cup was a true work of art that included spiderman stickers! This was by far my favorite passover to date and I'm still dayenu!

With the start and end of Passover falling on some of my school days, I've been able to stay at home (school was closed) and spend some quality time with mommy and Remi. With our extra time, mommy has been able to plan more fun and exciting things for us to do. On one of our days, we visited the botanical gardens, met up with some friends, had a picnic and drew out the 10 plagues in sidewalk chalk and that was just in the morning!

What the ... Why is daddy home?

Yeah, that's right. Daddy took 4 days off of work, Thursday - Sunday to hang out with Remi and I. Mommy flew to MN to spend some time with Uncle Brandon and Aunt Annie and we got daddy all to ourselves. While I must admit, I was a bit concerned when mommy told us she was going away for a few days. I love daddy, I really do, but he's not our primary care taker, or rather even part time care taker, so albeit a bit apprehensive, I jumped into the challenge with full force. Thank god mommy had typed up directions for daddy or we very well may have never eaten! All kidding aside, it was so much fun to have special time with daddy. And while daddy was exhausted by the end of our weekend, I think he really got to understand our day to day lives. March was reading month and all of the parents have been reading to our class and daddy even got to read to my class. I was so excited to show daddy my room, introduce him to my froggie friends and have him meet my teacher, Ellen. Thank you daddy, we had a blast!

Doing a little reading before school

The picture is dark, but that's me in the back. I was in the zone... I had to prepare, after all, I was one of the 10 plagues...

Leaving school after having eat every matzoh ball I could get my hands on. I think I had about 6, needless to say, I felt very full.

Cooking our dinner over the fire. That's right we roasted hot dogs in our fireplace!

I love to play with the parachute

Fun times on Ferdon Rd

Well, it was that time of the month... Time to make that salty stinky treat that we all love, EXCEPT mommy. That's right, it was herring time and this time we let Remi help us men folk outside.

Remi and I got great seats right next to the track.

Car #8 with a great showing

Personally, I liked the blue car better...

and the red one was pretty neat.

You can't really see b/c of the stroller, but I gave Jack a high five after he won his race.

Remi pushing a stroller. I remember when I used to play with that...

Oh wait, I still do!

Remi loves sand, especially to throw it

Eating the fruit of our labors

Mommy was taking pictures from the back door and she was so excited to see us playing so nicely...

...little did she know, I was dumping pounds of sand on Remi. So much so that mommy had to strip her down and literally turn her upside down and shake her. I got a time out and Remi got a bath.

We've been bad bloggers...

Yes, that's right, it's April and we're still posting pictures from March. I'd like to promise that I'll be more timely with my posts, but with mommy limiting my computer time to NONE, it's been a little challenging. Luckily I've distracted her for the moment. If REMI and I make a HUGE mess in one room, that will keep her occupied long enough for me to make a post or two. All is well in Ann Arbor and Remi and I are thrilled to be spending every waking moment outside.

Remi was begging mama and daddy to take her on vacation. They wouldn't have had to even buy her a seat. She fit in the suitcase!

D A D spells dad. I came home from school with that about a month ago. Yeah, I'm pouting... I hit my head on the sideboard...

Lacrosse anyone?

The ladies, having a chat....

Remi LOVES to help out with laundry

I am in a class at the Y and one class we played hockey. This is me helping my teacher, Ryan, get the gym prepared

Ok, warm up for my Y class always consists of playing with balls. I immediately headed for the goal and played goalie the whole free time. I'm happy to report, I only let one in. However mommy is a bit concerned the Goldstein Goalie Gene (AKA Triple G) is alive and thriving.
