Grandma Jo and Grandpa David know that I LOVE to get mail, so every once in awhile, we will get a care package from them. Nothing too big, nothing too fancy, but always something they know will make me smile. This care package consisted of a Twins hat, a Mauer shirt (I actually read the name of the back of the shirt), and this cute little dress for Remi. Below are a few pics of the morning I opened the box. Remi wore her dress that day, but proved elusive when trying to take a photo of her.

After Touch a Truck...
I had a soccer game. Did I mention that the weather wasn't perfect for Touch a Truck. Yeah, that's right, the field was wet, not just kind of wet, a lot wet. The grass was so wet that you sort of got stuck every time you had to move. And... to top it all off, mommy dressed me in sweatpants, so by the end of soccer, I couldn't even keep my pants on my body, they were so heavy.
While mommy, Remi and I were slogging through the soccer fields, daddy was off fishing with some friends. I've included a few pictures from his trip, but I must admit, I'm a bit bitter.... I thought I was daddy's fishin' buddy.
Yeah, it was picture day...
Remi, SO wanted to be in the picture

Shhh... I'm on call
Later that same day, I was trying to get Tyler in the kitchen for lunch and walked to the playroom and overheard and saw this... Tyler pacing back and forth in the playroom with a play phone up to his ear. He was saying things like, "take your temperature," "use a thermometer," and "feed a cold starve a fever." He then noticed me, looks up, puts his hand over the bottom half of the phone and says. "Shh mama, I'm on call... just like daddy."

Touch a Truck 2010
This is the first year we've been able to make it to the annual touch a truck outing in Ann Arbor, but let me tell you, it was worth the wait. We arrived promptly at 9am and there were so many cool things to climb on and drive that I could barely decide what to do, for a moment, I just sort of stood, overwhelmed with my options. There city and school buses, garbage trucks, police cars, military trucks, combines, moving trucks, firetrucks, dump trucks and the mobile library. The weather was a bit soggy, which probably helped keep away the crowds. I honked horns, pushed buttons and drove so many different trucks, I was dizzy by the end of it all. Remi got in on some of the action. She especially liked the firetruck and the combine.

The combine!!!
Hanging out in the army truck while mommy waited in line at the combine
Our turn!
Daddy was pretty excited to see inside one of these things. For some reason, mama didn't seem so impressed with this machine. Guess she spent too many hours riding with her daddy and grandpa in one as a child
Where's the horn on this John Deere
I loved hanging out in the moving truck. One just like this was across the street from our house the day before.
Driving the mobile library
The garbage truck had 2 steering wheels!
Clothing optional...
Our backyard has become clothing optional. For some reason, whenever I hear we're going to play with the water, I'm immediately moved to remove all of my clothing and I encourage all of my guests to do the same. Here is a little backyard fun with our friends Aaron and Anya.
Hangin' out in our pool.
Every mans dream... Pooping in the great outdoors.
My sweetie, aka goober face
Aaron and I worked very hard to fill up the water can
Notice Anya, hanging out in the distance... She's no dummy, she wanted to stay dry
Believe it or not, we weren't actually trying to moon mama, it just naturally happened
Anya and her watermelon
Here I come!
Hard to believe I used to be a super chubby baby!
Remi, covered in watermelon and dirt and happy as a clam
Later that night we went for a walk, but I decided I would take Remi for a jog
but when nature call... You gotta listen!

Lots of Posts
Take me out to the ball game
The Red Sox were playing the Tigers a few weeks ago, so we decided it was time... Time for Remi to go to her first Red Sox game. Sure, it wasn't at historical Fenway, but the Detroit Stadium is no slouch. It has ac carousel, a ferris wheel and she got a free glove b/c it was kids day. Nothing to complain about in my book. Now our seats on the other hand... Can you say NOSEBLEED! Either way we had an awesome time. We attempted and succeeded at spilling as many things as possible on mommy. No need to carry extra clothing for me around mama, you may want to bring extras for yourself!

Like I said, nosebleed...
